Investment Process
The UK Select Fund aims to identify earnings growth potential above market estimates, and then price it correctly. The manager employs both quantitative screening and qualitative research in order to identify stocks that may have been underpriced.
Quantitative screening methods are used to identify companies where financial performance trends are moving into positive territory and valuation metrics indicate under-pricing of future growth potential. Coupled with this, the manager focuses on qualitative aspects of undervaluation, which are usually overlooked by analysts, specifically;
- Strong franchise business.
- New products or addressable markets.
- Corporate restructuring.
- Cyclical exposure.
